Ground Level Equine develops practical, perception‑based educator tools for equine professionals. Our courses, workshops, and frameworks teach you how to see what is actually happening in the horse, how to translate those observations clearly, and how to guide clients through grounded, accessible learning experiences.

Ground Level Equine is led by Olga Surmacheva, an educator and sketching artist who built Equine Journaling over a decade of practice with her own horses and began teaching it in 2026.

If you've ever wished you had a clearer way to show clients what you are seeing, without turning every session into a biomechanics lecture, this work is for you. The journaling framework is supportive, accessible, and surprisingly fun. You don’t need art skills, just some curiosity, a willingness to slow down, and a desire to help people help animals.

The Equine Journaling Practicum is a five-week live cohort for equine professionals. Six seats. Starts October 22; enrollment closes October 13.

Equine Journaling: Unlocking Connection, Growth, and Insight is a free 7-page illustrated introduction to the practice. One horse, a few honest marks, no art experience needed. Join the list and it arrives in your inbox, along with occasional tools for equine professionals and first word when the next cohort opens.
